We will layover in Seoul for ten hours. Then it's on to Los Angeles with a two hour layover and then we fly to Seattle. Coming home is great but we will surely miss our Mongolian friends. They are such a sweet people.

Guess what we did today? I rode a two humped camel. Only my camel didn't like me. It kept making a loud noise going ' aaaagh ' and opening its mouth angrily at me. Then it just decided to sit down. I was waving my arms saying 'up, go , up. " but, did it listen? Noooooo! Finally the owner came and pulled it by its nose ring up. So I trotted it back and let Tammy ride it. It liked her and seemed to do just what she wanted. Now the other camel I rode liked me just fine and I trotted it around and even raced Tammy and Rainbow's camels.

We also got to drink camel's milk inside a ger. It was really fun. Camel's milk tastes kind of like goat's milk or cow's milk only sweeter and more butter fat. Was delicious really. The ger was so colorful and homey. I wouldn't mind living in one at all. It only takes them 15 minutes to take it down and set it up again. Amazing.

Poor Rodney. When he went up to his camel it shook its head vigorously and camel spit flew through the air sliming his face and shirt. We told him he should take it home and frame it to remind him of his Mongolian experiences. I don't think Katya liked that thought at all.

Well, we miss everyone and will be home soon. I would love to bring you all and come here again someday.

Love in Christ,

Your Mongolian Team (Kath)

Day Eight (Part Two), Monday, April 23, 2007

We have been having a most amazing time. Yesterday we went to pray for the people at church and when we arrived there there were so many. We all got to pray for people and it was such a blessing. One fellow was shaking so badly and wanted us to pray for his arm as he had lost much the use of it. Tam and I prayed for him and by the time we were done it wasn't shaking any more and he could lift it as high as his shoulder. Praise God! It is so cool because this isn't about what we can do at all. It is simply what Jesus wants to do.

One little boy was six years old and needed prayer to grow. He was tiny. I thought he looked about three. Any way, he was quite a fidgety boy and wiggly but when we started praying for him he just went over backwards and lay there not moving an eyelid. Tammy and I just looked at each other in amazement!

Today at prayer (I know I'm really just covering yesterday but needed to tell this) a lady wanted prayer and I prayed for her. Then she told me she wanted to have her daughter feel the power of God. I told her that God wanted to use her hands and that she should pray for her daughter. She left and a few moments later interrupted me while I was praying for someone else; her hands became so hot after I had prayed for them. She had tears in her eyes and it was great to see her believing and knowing that God can use her, because its not about us, it is about who God is.

On another note, we love everyone and we'll be so spoiled coming home and being to order what ever we want on a menu. Here, we go in to a restaurant and say,

"I'd like pizza."

The waiter looks at us and shakes his head. "No pizza."

So we say. "Pasta,"

"No pasta, " then he points out the limited amounts of choices on the menu.

For breakfast, on a menu that has about 20 choices, we usually get 'omelet'. They just don't have the food, I guess. They are so nice though. The people are just about as sweet as you can imagine.

Praying for everyone was so humbling. I doubt that I'll ever be the same again. At least I hope not. I know that I know that I know that I know that God wants to move in power and signs and wonders to confirm His word. And I know that God wants to empower everyone: young , old, weak, shy, as long as we submit to Him I know that He wants to move through us.

Well, take care and we miss you all.

Love in Christ,

Your team,

by Kath

Day Seven: Monday, April 23, 2007

Just bullet points for now due to time and slow internet.

Katya and Diana went with Melanie to her Little Hearts ministry; mothers in poverty were ministered to with food and love.

Vera, Tammy, Kathy, and myself went with Hetee to pray for two ladies, one in hospital, the other recovering from cancer surgery at home. The music definitely added to our heart's cry for Mongolia and her people. Most of the performers were from Hetee's church. I greeted the ladies for you and then had Sue, Barb, and Katya share for a few minutes. After that I had our entire team of ladies lay hands on and pray for the leaders and the performers. A very sweet time of ministry.

One of the dancers was the young girl you prayed for on one of your journeys where God healed her broken arm. This same girl's grandma died yesterday. I went with Hetee to visit the family: seven people (three adults and four children) living under an apartment stairwell in a space no larger than a long twin bed. The three little boys, probably eight, four, and two years) were eating bread with sugar for their meal. None the less, the family was praising God in their grief because they knew Grandma was in heaven. The memorial service will be on Wedensday and we will attend. I intend to ask the team members to help the family financially with the expenses of the funeral.

The opportunity I had to minister to the Abundant Life Church's retreat group was very exciting. This was indeed a divine appointment; that they were using the same hotel as we and that we happened to encounter the pastor in the hall after praying for a young disabled man and then to be asked to share with his people, WOW! I also taught Hetee's leader training class after church yesterday. Church with hundreds of Mongolian believers was AWESOME!!

The ladies are beginning to develop relationships with the Mongolian women and are being invited to various homes for fellowship. We are being touched very deeply in our hearts by this experience and some, like Tammy, do not want to leave, and Vera has found new destiny and purpose for her ministry life. Diana has arranged to spend time with the dance team from the church, probably to learn a few new steps but also to teach her heart for dance in the worship of God.

Many activities are planned for the next three days which will involve a lot of one on one ministry. We are expecting many more healing and miracles. Physically the team is holding up very well; Kathy is having some problem with an old injury to her leg, but she has not missed anything and continues to overflow with her bubbling love of Christ. And, the weather has been quite nice, praise God.

We will send out a report later about today's adventure in God. I'm off to our morning devotion with the team.

With a cry for Mongolia,

Rodney

Day Five, Saturday, April 21, 2007

Praise the Lord in all things!

Saturday was an opportunity for much prayer and an opportunity for God to show his power. We continued to get locked in and locked out of our hotel, so that was interesting at times.

Meeting was powerful in spite of spiritual warfare. We learned later that there were a number of salvations. Barb spoke to the women about their destiny as women who God can use. Katya shared more about her life story and Sue did an awesome job in spite of earlier distractions. God is so....good!

As we were leaving the theater where the conference was held Barb prayed for a woman in the entrance foyer and God touched her to the amazement of those around.

Vera

Day Four (Prison Update), Friday, April 20, 2007

Here is a recap of day two of our visit to the second prison.

We started our journey around noon on Friday with 100 rolls of toilet paper, 72 bars of soap, five large jugs of pop and a bag of candy to a prison west of Darkhan. Most of the same ministry team was together for this adventure. We traveled approximately a half hour through many extremely poor villages and some rough dirt roads. The prison was located in the middle of nowhere and was originally a military installation.

Once we arrived, we were escorted into the meeting room where just under 40 young men were present. As I passed by the rooms where they stayed they were colorful and large compared to American prisons. There were no bars, two beds, a desk and very clean. There was a large colorful curtain that was at the entrance of each room.

Our worship team provided some great praise and worship music. Two men gave there testimony on the team and I taught on salvation and how Jesus loved them. I asked for an alter call and God just kept bringing them up one by one. I believe 20 to 25 were saved. I prayed for a young man's hand to be healed. Several to be delivered from alcohol and many asked God to forgive them and also forgave others that hurt them in their life. We prayed individually for each one.

The director of the prison came up and asked to speak to me. She asked if we would commit to come out on a regular basis and spend time with the men. God had opened door number two in two days for continued presence at the prison.

After we completed our time we went back to Darkhan to help at the women's conference. I was in the back with our team member Rodney and he was praying for a woman who had a swollen jaw and an abcessed tooth. God removed the swelling and completely healed her on the spot.

Some time had passed and a young mother brought her child over to us with tears and panic. Her baby was on fire with a fever. She too had severe head pains. We prayed and the power of God broke the fever and healed the mother. I actually felt the fever transfer from the baby's head through my hand. The mother cried with tears of joy as she left the conference that night.

This was only the beginning. God had more lives to change early the next day. The accounts of healing just kept on going and still are as our team continues Gods work for several more days.

God Bless!

Ted

Day Four: Friday, April 20, 2007

Last night was great!

At the beginning of the night we greated everyone coming in in Monglian, and again as they left. We were later told how blessed the women were to have us shake their hands and give them a hug.

The ladies here are incredible. There were a lot of healings last night. Rodney prayed with a lady who had a compress on her mouth to help the swelling. As he prayed he said he felt the swelling go down. The lady was totally healed; she raised her hands in praise to God. A baby was prayed for that had a fever and was healed also. The mother was so excited about it that she showed all of us her baby at the end. People throughout the theater were getting healed. We are hoping for many testimonies tonight.

God is so awesome, despite the things going on here He is touching the Mongolian women. Kathy and I had the opportunity to go to the black market with two of the sweetest girls as our interpeters. They were talking about last night and loved it. One of the translators said the message was just what the Mongolians needed to hear.

God has been doing amazing things in all of our lives. I am becoming more aware of how powerful and capable God is. It doesn't matter what things look like, God's plan will prevail. I love this team. Sue has been great. She is an example of how even when you are being hit hard you can put that aside and let God be God! I am encouraged. Be praying for this last conference session tonight. I know God wants to do a new thing!

Say hello to everyone from us.

Tammy

Day Three (Prison Update): Thursday, April 19, 2007

Good morning from Mongolia. It is Saturday and things are well for the team. Everybody is enjoying themselves and God is moving powerfully in both
the women's conference and the prisons.

There is so much to tell and not enough time to even touch the surface. I will start with Thursday morning. Pastor Hetee and four of his new prison volunteers including myself started our journey carrying 100 rolls of toilet paper and 144 bars of soap to a maximum security prison approximately two hours back toward UB. We boarded the Mongolia Express (not sure the real name) which was a unique experience by itself. People of all ages and some of the older folks dressed up in the traditional Mongolia attire. Most of the people were young (70% of the population is 35 years or younger) and going to many small villages that we stopped at along the way.

During our travel, Hetee spoke of the days of communism and shared about many experiences that I will never forget. He spoke of the transition period when
communism fell and how the Mongolians today are still reaping the impact of those years. He spoke of new hope and ideas to build business to help support the people and the local church.

When we arrived at our destination, Hetee pointed out the prison. It was next to a lumber mill and surrounded by an approximate 16 foot high wooden fence. Since we were an hour early, we proceeded to the local church. Along the way we passed by cows and horses along the side of the dirt roads passing through the many neighborhoods consisting of small shacks and fenced yards.

After about a mile or so we came upon the church property. It had a small 400 square foot house where the local pastor and his wife live and another wood framed structure to the side that was the church. It was built by an Australian organization that did not make provisions for heat. Therefore, it is only used during the warmer months.

A young girl had cooked us up some rice with beef slices and two dill pickles in a bowl with some flat bread. It tasted good. We then walked about 1 1/2 miles to the prison. One of the men that was with us went and asked for the warden. He showed up a few minutes latter and lead us up to his office. This was the first time that I had stepped foot in the wardens office in all my years of prison ministry at many institutions. Pastor Hetee and he talked about details and he reviewed our paperwork. I just sat not understanding a word and going with the flow.

The warden called for one of his officers to watch over us and escort us into the prison grounds. First he led us in another room where we could see the prison yard. There were four buildings and I believe three for housing and the other was a meeting hall. There were several wood watch towers stationed around the yard. However, I did not see a guard in any of them. The men started to assemble on the bleachers in the open yard next to the meeting hall where our service was being held. There were a few hundred that elected to show up at our service.

We then were moved to the meeting hall to get setup. The men then were moved into the hall. Everyone was quiet and well behaved. Two of our ministry team members were musicians and played the guitar and sang. We provided praise and worship music along with songs all the men knew to get their participation. One of the other team members shared his testimony how God delivered him from many situations where he should have ended up in prison. Pastor Hetee spoke of the trial he and his family went though when his own father was in prison for eight years for murdering another man. I delivered the gospel message and how much God loved each one of them and we were sent to share the good news. Over a hundred plus men stayed and heard the message. I prayed for healing for a man's heart problems, a man with brain tumor and others with other afflictions. After the service, men who wanted prayer came back (approx. 22) and several came up and gave their lives to Jesus. Many came up with broken hearts asking for prayer for their families to forgive them.

God changed many lives that day and sowed seed into many other lives. I believe many others will turn their lives to the Lord at a future date.

We then left after three hours of ministering to these men. We went back to the church where the youth were praising God. I was allowed to speak on forgiveness and God's love. Many of the youth came up with tears and asked God to heal their hearts and they forgave their mothers, fathers and teachers for rejecting them and abandoning them. I prayed and blessed each of the twenty youth and headed back to our train. The total trip took 13 hours.

At a future date, I will cover the awesome next day at the next facility.

God Bless!

Ted

Day Three (Part Two): Thursday, April 19, 2007

Hello! Yesterday was awesome. We watched God do amazing things all day. The beginning of the day we weren't sure how things would turn out, but God in his power came through and worked all things out.

We saw about 60 Mongolian women saved. Almost the whole theater stood up for the altar call for the exchange of beauty for ashes. After Melanie spoke about the abortion issue a lady and a song was being played Katya heard someone, and thought she was having a heart attack. She went to check on her and found God had convicted her, and began praying for her. Turned out she had had eight abortions. God healed her. She was able to forgive the doctors, herself, and her husband. She left with joy.

During Sue's praying at the end of the service another lady was touched mightily by God. She was slain in the Spirit at her seat with no one touching her. People around her were slapping her and trying to get her to respond. She had tears rolling down her face. God is so awesome; we are waiting to hear the amazing thing God did in her tonight.

I am so touched by the people here. They are incredibly sweet. Seeing older women coming in with their traditional clothes and worshiping God. Sue prayed with a lady after the service and she just radiated.

On a lighter side, we have been having a lot of fun. Things are quite interesting here. At the hotel they lock the doors when there is no security guard around. We were trying to leave several times and were locked in. Sue had a great idea and got her screw driver and managed to open the door. The quard came back with a puzzled look on his face as we were coming back in. You could hear him saying how did they get out? This happened several times. This morning as we were leaving for breakfast we saw they finally put a key in the door for us. Then they took it back again and Vera couldn't get out to join us.

Eating has been fun also. Breakfast in the hotel is to start at 7:00 am. This morning we got there at 7:15 am and no one was there. They showed up around 7:35 am. Then we had two choices on the menu. Bread and omeletes (which are basically scrambled eggs). Yesterday, Vera, Kathy and I thought there were side orders so we ordered sausage along with the Bintchink which is like a filled crepe. We got two big plates of food each which cost only about $3.00 dollars each. We laughed and said they probably think these crazy Americans eat a lot.

Well, better go. Hope all is well. We are having a great time and God is certainly stretching us. I speak for myself , Vera and Kathy. Thanks for all your prayers.

Day Three: Thursday, April 19, 2007

Hello,

I just wanted to give you a little update on the conference. Today was the first day of the conference and we had a great outcome! Over 600 women came and were blessed. Sue Davidson gave an altar call for salvation and about 60 women raised their hands and prayed to receive Jesus into their hearts!

The Eagle TV crew was satisfied with the backdrop we made. They were very easy to work with.

The highlight of the evening for me, other than seeing women come to the Lord, was after I got down from the stage and a lady called me over and asked if she could speak with me. She told me she was two months pregnant (I spoke on abortion) and was considering abortion. Her husband and sister begged her not to have one but she was very hardened. As she listened to me speak she knew in her heart that it would be wrong to kill her child. She changed her mind and decided to have the baby! She thanked me for speaking and saving her baby. He is awesome!

Another awesome thing happened as well. As I was speaking, a woman told Katya that she had had eight abortions but that she felt that she was being healed that night! God is good!

I'm really looking forward to what God will do the next two nights.

My soup is getting cold so I'd better get going.

Love and blessings,

Melanie
