Day Three (Part Two): Thursday, April 19, 2007
Thursday, April 19, 2007 Hello! Yesterday was awesome. We watched God do amazing things all day. The beginning of the day we weren't sure how things would turn out, but God in his power came through and worked all things out.
We saw about 60 Mongolian women saved. Almost the whole theater stood up for the altar call for the exchange of beauty for ashes. After Melanie spoke about the abortion issue a lady and a song was being played Katya heard someone, and thought she was having a heart attack. She went to check on her and found God had convicted her, and began praying for her. Turned out she had had eight abortions. God healed her. She was able to forgive the doctors, herself, and her husband. She left with joy.
During Sue's praying at the end of the service another lady was touched mightily by God. She was slain in the Spirit at her seat with no one touching her. People around her were slapping her and trying to get her to respond. She had tears rolling down her face. God is so awesome; we are waiting to hear the amazing thing God did in her tonight.
I am so touched by the people here. They are incredibly sweet. Seeing older women coming in with their traditional clothes and worshiping God. Sue prayed with a lady after the service and she just radiated.
On a lighter side, we have been having a lot of fun. Things are quite interesting here. At the hotel they lock the doors when there is no security guard around. We were trying to leave several times and were locked in. Sue had a great idea and got her screw driver and managed to open the door. The quard came back with a puzzled look on his face as we were coming back in. You could hear him saying how did they get out? This happened several times. This morning as we were leaving for breakfast we saw they finally put a key in the door for us. Then they took it back again and Vera couldn't get out to join us.
Eating has been fun also. Breakfast in the hotel is to start at 7:00 am. This morning we got there at 7:15 am and no one was there. They showed up around 7:35 am. Then we had two choices on the menu. Bread and omeletes (which are basically scrambled eggs). Yesterday, Vera, Kathy and I thought there were side orders so we ordered sausage along with the Bintchink which is like a filled crepe. We got two big plates of food each which cost only about $3.00 dollars each. We laughed and said they probably think these crazy Americans eat a lot.
Well, better go. Hope all is well. We are having a great time and God is certainly stretching us. I speak for myself , Vera and Kathy. Thanks for all your prayers.
