Header Photos

Since you asked, the header photos are ones I've taken from around the world. There's no specific meaning to size or placement; I just like them.

Tuesday in Darkhan

Sleeping on the floor so I can have their bed...Tuesday began as casually as yesterday. Melanie had to teach English in the morning so we had breakfast and then Hetee cleaned the kitchen and folded some laundry. I was working hard watching videos of Terry Fader on YouTube. Hetee came over and we went from Terry Fader to Rod Stewart's fabulous concert that PBS aired a few years ago and then on to Paul Potts and finally ending with Eva Cassidy. I will admit I felt a little guilty taking all this time to watch videos but it was so fun to just do something purely to enjoy it.

After this I emailed a letter to our church mailing list sharing the thoughts of the Mongolian leaders concerning the election in the US. (Please read it below.) It has stirred some interesting comments from back home.

Later some friends dropped by with their baby. The wife was on the Doulos and was also helpful to the team of women we sent to lead the Women's Conference we held a couple of years ago. Then it was off to Melanie's parent's home to visit before the teaching began at 4:00 PM. It was a pleasure to meet her folks and a friend who dropped by.

The teaching time began with a couple of worship songs and then I went directly into John's Gospel and shared Jesus' words and encouragements about the coming of the Holy Spirit. We had three hours last night to really get into the Word of God and the people were very encouraged. At the end I prayed for only one man but that powerfully set the stage for praying for everyone tonight.

We came home, had some dinner, and then Melanie and I had a great talk while Hetee was "working" on the computer. After a while we joined Hetee and talked until 1:00 AM. I respect these two as fellow pastors and love them like my own kids. One day our church will have the pleasure of meeting them in person and be able to be as blessed as I am to know them. Here's a few pictures of their neighborhood. The second one is their home:

As I write this the polls are not yet closed in America. I will refrain from any commentary until the actual results are in. Please continue to pray and if you haven't voted please do.

God bless you all!
