Insert spear, thrust and twist
Monday, March 22, 2010 It was all I could do yesterday to keep my mouth shut. A few people at church picked it up but most had no idea how hard it was for me to stay on point in my sermon.
The vote on the so-called health care reform was going to happen at some point yesterday and I wanted to warn the people, one more time, of the true evil of this legislation and the process by which it was created and passed. (The Lord told me to just keep it to myself and concentrate on what He was doing in the service, which was awesome.)
What happened last night has nothing to do with health care, it's about control through a massive invasion into the private lives of the American people.
You and I know that once the federal government gets its nose under the tent the rest of the camel quickly follows. The ruse that has been foisted on the American people is a lie and a trap. President Obama doesn't care one twit about your health care. He wants access to every detail of your life; beginning with your financial and medical records, and the ability to not just meddle, but to threaten, bully and prosecute. It's all about control.
As I write this, Florida, Virginia, South Carolina, Nebraska, Texas, Utah, Pennsylvania, Washington, North Dakota, South Dakota and Alabama are preparing lawsuits against the federal government stating the legislation clearly violates the U.S. Constitution and infringes on each state's sovereignty.
Mark Levin, constitutional scholar, attorney, best selling author, and national radio host, has promised a lawsuit. I'm certain that through any means possible other private citizens, companies, corporations, governments, etc. will bring similar lawsuits. It is clear that this fight has just begun.
We've been close to some type of non-violent revolution in this country and this may be the fire that lights the fuse. I for one will be dedicating more time and money to fighting for freedom than I ever have before. When my grandkids grow up and ask me what I did I want to be able to say that I did everything in my power to stand up for their freedoms.
Don't lose heart and don't give up. The fight has just begun. November is not that far away. (And, neither is Jesus, for that matter.) But, until He returns it's up to us to not only stand for freedom but to fight for it, both temporal and eternal.
