By now everyone knows about the horrible death and devastation in Haiti. Now is the time for prayer and generosity, but Pat Robertson has to speak about an old disputed pact that Haiti made with the French and "with the devil" and state that this is the reason for the earthquake.

More and more, Christians have become the scorn of many around the globe. Yet, Christians are the ones who build hospitals, feed the poor, care for the elderly, etc. Now, during one of the most devastating earthquakes in our hemisphere, a prominent Christian brings up what he feels is the reason: the judgement of God. Before these poor (literally) people can even find their dead, let alone bury them, Pat feels the need to share this news of God's judgement with the entire world.

Only God knows the true nature of this earthquake. Now is the time for prayer, for donations, for medical teams, for heavy equipment, etc., not the time to chastise to afflicted.

I appeal to Christians all over the world: This is a time to weap and to mourn and to help these people. Pray for the people of Haiti and their family and friends scattered all over the world.
