From my heart...

I've been wanting to write this for a long time. This is from my heart to yours.

Jesus Christ is Lord, God and King.

Jesus Christ lived for me, died for me, and lives again for me. No one else will ever do that.

Jesus Christ has cleansed me from all unrighteousness and has given me eternal life. No one else can do that.

Jesus Christ lives in me by his Spirit because he wants to be near me. No one else wants to be that close to me.

No one loves me like Jesus does. No one ever will.

Jesus Christ is trustworthy and honest. He never lies to me; he always tells me the truth.

I love the Lord Jesus Christ. I try every day to live for him, to bring him glory, and every day I fail. I fail to live the life that he lived. Thank God he lived it for me so when I fail his grace is sufficient.

Jesus allowed me to be born of parents with no peers. Thank you, Lord.

Jesus gives me air to breathe, water to drink, food to eat, and a place to sleep. Thank you, Lord.

Jesus gave me a brother and two sisters. Thank you, Lord.

Jesus led me to my patient wife, my gift from God. Thank you, Lord.

Jesus allowed us to have three daughters that have grown to be lovely in every way. Thank you, Lord.

Jesus has blessed our family with love, honesty and faithfulness. My children all love us, love each other, and love Jesus. Thank you, Lord.

Jesus has always paid the bills. Thank you, Lord.

Jesus has blessed us with three caring sons-in-law that love our girls and grandchildren. Thank you, Lord.

Jesus has blessed my wife with the ability to love and care for over 350 developmentally disabled people. Thank you, Lord.

Jesus has blessed me to walk out the calling he's given me and to bless people, in his name, in Gig Harbor and all over the globe. Thank you, Lord.

Jesus has always been, and will always be, my teacher.

Jesus has healed me numerous times and put me back on my feet to serve him and others. Thank you, Lord.

Jesus has taught me about his Father and his Holy Spirit. Thank you, Lord.

Jesus has literally saved my life at least six times that I know of. Thank you, Lord.

Jesus has allowed me to pray for people and see miracles happen. Thank you, Lord.

Jesus has allowed me to cast out demons and heal the sick. Thank you, Lord.

Jesus has given me eternal friendships from one end of the earth to the other. Thank you, Lord.

Jesus continues to teach me, train me, and entrust eternal things to me. Thank you, Lord.

Jesus comforts me and strengthens me. Thank you, Lord.

Jesus speaks to me in my spirit. I am never alone. Thank you, Lord.

Jesus has given me a heart for the world. Thank you, Lord.

Jesus has allowed me to feel his pain for broken people. Thank you, Lord.

Jesus has conquered fear in me. Thank you, Lord.

Jesus has never given up on me. Thank you, Lord.

Jesus will finish the work he started in me. Thank you, Lord.

I could go on and on with thanksgiving for what Jesus has done for me, my family and all who have attended church with us. At the end of the day I know that Jesus loves me. Thank you, Lord.

I know he's always with me. I know he'll never leave me or forsake me. I know he's given me everything I need for life and godliness. I know that he's blessed me with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms. I know that his glory is upon me when I suffer for his sake.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Lord.

Passion for freedom...

My Father has a passion for freedom. My earthly father has a passion for freedom. I have a passion for freedom.

Consider this: Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom. This simple statement tells me everything I need to know about the Holy Spirit: He's passionate about freedom. His nature is to set people free, to set nations free, and to set the entire world free.

He's also passionate about destroying anything that puts people in bondage. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil and He instructed us to do the same. His passion is the same passion that works in those who are led of the Spirit. When a Spirit-led person gets a whif of bondage, lies or deceit, passion rises up to destroy that bondage so the person/nation may be free. It's not possible to be Spirit-led and not be passionate about freedom.

What is possible is the fear of confrontation. This is a human response; this type of fear is not from God. Let me give you an amazing example.

The greatest political platform available to speak for freedom is the presidency of the United States. A few days ago the election of the president of Iran was held and it couldn't have been more obvious that the election was rigged. Did President Obama stand up with the passion of the Spirit of God and encourage the people of Iran to stand for freedom? No, he did not. I understand the political implications but he said we shouldn't "meddle".

When I read his statement I almost exploded. His unbridled hypocrisy defies logic, reason, and all common sense. He must think we are absolutely the dumbest people on earth.

Consider the following statement by President Obama:

"It is not productive, given the history of US-Iranian relations to be seen as meddling - the US president, meddling in Iranian elections," Mr Obama said.

He expects us to believe that he hasn't been meddling in Iranian political affairs. But, beyond that, if only our president had as much concern for the affairs of Israel! If anyone has meddled (more accurately, strongarmed, even blackmailed) in the affairs of Israel it's President Barack Obama.

Here's another comment from our president:

"It's important to understand that, although there is amazing ferment taking place in Iran, the difference between Ahmadinejad and Mousavi in terms of their actual policies may not be as great as has been advertised.

"Either way, we were going to be dealing with an Iranian regime that has historically been hostile to the United States, that has caused some problems in the neighbourhood and has been pursuing nuclear weapons," he told CNBC television.

Apparently Obama thinks that an honest election isn't important if the policies of the two candidates are similar. I wonder if he would have felt this way if he had lost to McCain since many people thought their policies where pretty much the same. It's laughable. It's outrageous.

President Obama says he's a Christian. He travels the world apologizing for America and stating with confidence that we are no longer a Christian nation. While trumpeting the virtues of Islam in Cairo he says nothing about how America has fought for freedom for Muslims around the globe. He speaks of Islam as though it offers peace and freedom. Can any reasonable person come to this conclusion? Ask any woman under it's cloak, yet don't expect an honest answer for fear it will cost them the flesh on their back or the loss of their head.

Freedom cannot be redefined and neither can courage. Do not be decieved by this man. The more he speaks the more he betrays who he really is and the spirit that guides him.
